We did that, Jens. Two candles, in fact. Wasn't quite dark by 7pm here in eastern Oregon, but we did it anyway. Let 'em burn all night. Good idea.

Just got back from 3 weeks at Lake Tahoe, so haven't caught up on the bimmer.org postings, yet. We took Kate's 735i down and back -- worked great the whole trip. Beautiful drive in a beautiful driving machine...

It was tough to come back from vacation, tougher still to watch the tragedies unfold on TV.

I've been working in the garage all afternoon, tinkering on the bimmer, listening to the radio. Replaced a license plate light, re-positioned the steering wheel (angled slightly to the right when going straight down the road), replaced a bad fog light indicator light in the instrument cluster, and reset the Service Interval light (using instructions from this board, of course).

Felt good working on the car, again. Next action is to install the Cheetah remote keyless entry system I got from JC Whitney awhile back (again per suggestion on this board). Will try to decide whether to put it in the trunk or to hook it up to drivers door circuitry. My preference is the trunk, but not sure right now.

Kindly, Rick
