So your saying it's easier to rip out the dash then remove the engine and cut through the firewall. I do have to change the starter on this car anways...and if it's anything like a 318 then you pretty well have to remove the engine to change that LOL :)

or i could drop the transmission and exhaust and go up through the floor then drop the HVAC system out. Nah

So then i change my question...what's the simplest way to remove the dash without ending up in mass confusion with wires. I have taken a E23 dash out before...but would shudder at the thought or putting it back in.

Jason the only option you may have is burn
out the fire wall by the engine,
then reweld.
