Radio shows "Code" and won't take my 5-digit code (archive)

Just had some work done on my Engine... and now the radio is showing "Code". I have tried entering my 5-digit original supplied code, but it is no longer accepting it.

Is there anything I can do (short of returning to Dealer) to get my radio to work again?

Is there something about you only get 3 attempts...and then the radio becomes fuxored? Or if I disconnect the battery, will I get 3 attempts again?

Thx for any help on this subject.
