I have seen the euro factory BMW parts book and the rear spoiler is factory by Zender and many E23's (euro) had this treatment, ie, the roundel moved down...

just my .02 worth...

All my e23's have it in normal spot; my guess is that the trunk lid spoiler is of the generic kind and thus does not have the missing half of semi-circle cut out for emblem as do the 2 I have that were made for e23's. jim
