So you said: "power windowes in my 745 work without the key being on". That is nice and it should be like this.
But can you confirm that you have to at least open a door to make them work(close a ground contact by using the interior light contact switch). Because if this is not the case the car could easily be stolen by operating the switch with a rod trogh the window seal.
I like to change mine so the window operate with the key. The difference can only be in two wires hopefully. The + for the window switches needs to be hooked in somewhere else and the negative ground needs to come from a ignition switched ground (so it works with ignition on - but the doors closed) and from the ground door contact for when the ignition is off. Very simple but which are the exact wires to hook in and the power window relais needs to be considered in this. Does the secondary side of the relais have a connection at all times? Easy for those of you with diagrams, me and many others just would have to work it out by drawing in down and thinking it through. If you rewire your 735 just do it in a way that looks like original wiring.
Draw down the changes as a proper diagram and keep this drawing with your cars documents.
