Rear Fog light switch???86 735i-Jens (archive)

I was told today that the dash fog light switch is probably for REAR FOG lights as in some Jags and Volvos.I have not pulled out your CD to chech it yet.There have never been any fog lights on the front. No wires or any mounting holes or brackets. Any comments Jens!!
