86 735i no temp after replacing water pump (archive)

Replaced water pump which involved removing radiator, etc. Now temp needle stays on cold even when car is warmed up. Have reconnected wires on two sensors at bottom of radiator by A/C compressor but must have something goofed up. On a longer test drive the needle came up to 1/4 position for a while? Have tried bleeding air out of system. This is my first bmw water pump repair and first post.
