Has anyone else out there been so frustrated in solving their car's HVAC problems that they have resorted to installing a copper ball valve to control the flow of heat/cold? Am I the only one this desperate?


My vacuum diaphram has a hole in it, so it won't move the valve. I took the cover off and removed the spring, and just move the valve by hand. Here in Florida you don't need much heat anyway, so just a little bit on is good enough to keep me warm. I should break down and replace it with a new one, but...
