I'm not sure I understand your reasoning on that.
The resistor is bypassed anyway when the hi temp switch is turned on.

If that is true it may work. My response was because of your previous posts and general electrical theory. I haven't seen the schematics( I'll look in my bentley tonight). If the resistor is only there to have 2 fan speeds, (low thru resistor, Hi bypassing it) it may work. But because you burned fuses and wiring it leads me to believe that there is another path or reason for it being there. I am also concerned because one should only modify electrics when he FULLY understands the engineering and ramifications of changing the schematic. Some people on these boards take advice strictly on faith w/o that understanding and suffer the consequences.
