have no vacuum leaks? Did you put a vacuum gauge on the line to the vacuum pump and check vacuum? Have you ever taken a hand pump and checked the lines going into the HVAC system from under the hood? Have you checked the vacuum line going to the knock sensor box under the glove box? I would bet money on the fact that there is a leak some where in your system. AFM's just do not suddenly get out of adjustment. If you have an HVAC pump how long does it take to cycle once it pumps down for the first time.

The one thing I can really tell you is the fact that 745's are vacuum sesitive!!!! If you have a vacuum leak you can have all of the conditions you stated above. Be sure all of the hoses on the manifold are new and connected where they belong. Lean means your sucking to much air. Look also at the AFM door while running. If everything is correct then it should be barely cracked open. If it is opening wider than just a crack then it's trying to compensate for something by adding more fuel.

Just my 2 cents worth.

Jon

the last thing you want to do is mess with the AFM. Get all other conditions in order. Vacuum is a priority.
