The first unpleasant discovery I made when I got my 7 is how little reliable literature there seems to be. The big three, Bentley, Haynes, and Chilton, aren't much help on this particular car. A friend of mine recently picked up a 633 csi, 1981, and is having the exact same nightmare. He went so far as to call BMW directly, and even they were not terribly helpful.

If anyone is aware of a single, trustworthy source of comprehensive coverage on these two cars (accurate wiring diagrams, vaccuum illustrations, and spec. sheets) please let me know.

I have a general BMW manual from Chilton that is fairly Good. I can give you the exact name if you wish. I found it at a book store for about $15. However, this board is your best resource. Most of the experienced E23 owners have been through just about everything. I found that as long as your posts are clear and concise, you will get an answer.
