Thanks Jon. I check the climate control system with a hand pump. it is holding vacuum. My vacuum pump is not working. I removed it from the system. All of the vacuum lines have been replaced and I have been over the intake system with a fine tooth comb.

At idle, it misses slightly...more than it should, based on my experience with bix bmw sixes. I think I should look into the ignition before I get into the control system. I will replace the rotor, cap, plugs and maybe wires and then we'll see how it runs.
