I have to agree. I bought an 86 E23 in September from a nice little old lady (76) in Darien, CT. 78k miles, absolutely mint interior, about five minor door dings on the sides, paint immaculate. Never driven in winter. Had complete service records from BMW dealer. I eagerly paid $7995.00, well above blue book.

Connolly Hide Food on the seats, and it looks and feels brand new. New BAVAuto Elite floormats. Just replaced all of the shocks and springs with H&R and Bilsteins. Original was still on it. New Brembo Cross-drilled rotors and Carbon Metaalic pads. SST brake lines. New AT Italia Flash 17" wheels and Goodyear Eagle F1 GSD-2 all around.

Next is trip to Dent Wizard for those door dings. Then a B&B Tri-Flow, Autothority Chip, and some other goodies.

And sittin next to my 88 M6, she looks damn hot! You can see people watching her as we go around the corner. It pays to pick a well-maintained car, then spend your money making her nicer rather than repairing her.
