i lost the key to by 87 3 series. I went to the dealership and it only cost 10 dollars to replace it.

I went to the dealer and he told me it would take 3-5 days before he could even order the key because my reg.# was not in U.S. database and he would have to fax info to Germany by way of Georgia.
