Drain the ATF fluid by disconnecting and catching the fluid from the hose at the pump.
Obviously don't reuse it when you fill up the reservoir again.
Also check the reservoirs filter when you draint it before refill.
You need to remove the belt which drives the pump.
Then take off the pump.
Do your repairs. Put back and reconnect everything.
You can just before you reconnect the reservoir to pump hose fill in the fluid and when it commes through connect the hose.
At least this one is without air.
Start engine let run, as air disappears, refill required amount of ATF Fluid.

If I was somewhere wrong, please but in, it's a while since I have done this job.

Best Regards
Ralf
