Why should you want to convert? As far as I know the 4HP version is much weaker than the 3HP. The 3HP is in my convertible, never a problem with it, the 4HP is in my ix Touring, it broke down at 140.000 kms. Had trouble in 2 of 745i's also (burnt clutch).

Does the the 4hp22 require a different driveshaft? Does its computer run independently of the Motronic system? What electronic inputs does it receive from the engine? Can it be used with L-Jet?
