Thanks, Bob. The O2 sensor was replaced about 5K miles ago. I have wanted to upgrade the exhaust system anyway, unfortunately I don't have the cash right now. Did you have to replace the silencer after your episode or were you able to clean it out somehow? Also, I've seen these "new" slim line cats that look just like a section of exhaust pipe;). Have you ever tried one of those in place of the stock cat?

mixture has gotten off (too lean or too rich) you could have destroyed the cat. Did exactly that while tuning my 745 after increasing the boost. Had cat guts plugging up the tail pipe after one way too lean run. In my case, you could put your hand behind the exhaust pipes and feel exhaust only on one side. The other side was completely clogged. Performance was as you described.

When's the last time you changed your O2 sensor?
