Hey guys...hope you all are having a great Christmas holiday. It is starting to get cold here in central texas and I am having battery problems. I have an 84 733i. It starts fine when it is warm outside, but when I try to start it first thing in the morning when it is chilling, it acts like it is dying and won't start at all. It jumps fine and runs great the rest of the day. Starts just fine. Is it an alternator problem??

Your battery is bad. Weak batteries will almost always start a car in warm weather, but fail in cold.
