In theory I should be able to hook my pressureized intake nipple output directly to my wastegate nipple and this should prevent me from acheiving any boost. Correct?

When I do this, I get no change in turbo pressure from when I have nothing connected to the wastegate nipple.

I have removed the wastegate and examined it. It moves freely and seems to operate. Is there a way to check the diaphram?
