Yep mine started the same thing recently. When the car is first turned on the needle shoots past the redline and sits all teh way to the right past the red mark. Then after a while of driving shoots back the middle and flies around. When It settles down and the car is stopped at a stop sign it keeps rythem with the turn signal (dancing)

Im going to change the temperature sensor. Already changed the Thremostat.
