That's my personal setup.

Monitor ONE running at 1280x1024 displaying two websites on Desktop

Monitor TWO running at 1024x768.
There are both Mitsubishi 17 inch "Trinitons" Monitors driven by a 3-4 year old dual screen Matrox Graphics card.

You can drag windows from one to the other monitor. Makes life very easy.

I would daubt that there are many people running 640x480. In my daily work I design for a minimum of 800x600.
You could run free statistics on your website, which would tell you the resolution of your visitors and much more.

Best Regards
Ralf
