I am having similar problems with euro E28 M5. Car will suddenly die. Turns over with starter motor but doesn't fire up. Will start again after standing a long while. Replaced main and fuel pump relays and fuel pump but still have problem. Some have said it may be the DME. Car is stored for the winter so I'll deal with it in the spring.
