My 84 745i was A LOT Faster than my 93 740iL and my dad's 99 750iL Sport. As a matter of fact It ran the 1/4 mile consistently in the lower 13 sec area. Best Et was 12.89 and the only mods were a
Wastegate bleed off, a 3" exhaust and 255/45/17 rear and 235/45/17 front on 98 528i Sport rims.

I doubt any moderately tuned e32 or e38 can put up similar numbers.

Hey Ari - I have obviously touched a nerve here.

You are talking in the past tense here - what happened to your 745? I guess unless it is on your drive now, it went to the junk yard. I would take you up on your offer, but I am across the pond in London.
