92 735i Electric window switch problem (archive)

Right-rear window wont stay up unless I lock the master switch. If I unlock the master switch lock it goes down without touching any switches. To put the window back up ... I have to lock the master and use the master switch. Just replaced both the master switch and the door switch and it does the same thing. Visually inspected the wiring and found no signs of broken wires. Took off left door panel and the everything looks the same.
