Jaz,
For what it's worth. I have and e32 for my wife and it's been a terrific car. They don't have the HVAC maintenance issues that the e23 has, but they do have some querks in the electronics in the dash with the light relays. The stock interior is very similar to the old L7 or highline in terms of leather and wood, and the engine buts out, I think, 218 hp stock. They have a much different feel with a different trans that keeps rpm higher unlike the 745 which runs at about 1800 rpm at 60mpg. Mine has been bullet proof an we enjoy the car since it is an IL and is great for road trips.
THAT BEING SAID- I have three e23 745's and that is what I will be driving for the next 15 years. The defense rests his case... steve

What makes you all stick with the E23 rather than the better-looking E32?

I did not know you could get iL E23s. That is not so bad. At least you have one E32, that makes up for the three others.
Is the L7 the streatched version - how early did they arive (E23 or E32)
