On The Road Help! - Jens - Anyone... (archive)

Hello - To you all... I am one in need of some help. I am on the road in St. Louis picking up an 86 L7 from Atlanta(thanks Hans-He's a great guy... I'm trying to keep her in shape) anyway...here's the lowdown:

Car dies randomly at idle usually-
Hard starts randomly after it dies-
On the highway for long periods of time every once and a while it will act like it's dead but surge right back up -

The replaced DME seemed to answer the question from Nashville, TN to St. Louis but the new one has started acting up again...

One thought is that I have a bad sensor or fuel supply component and the new brain has adapted/learned of this fault -thus trying to compensate - I haven't checked fuel pressure, but it has a new DME and Idle control valve

So... If you have input on this I would love the help - I am on the road again on Tuesday and would love to have her make it home...
