Check the condition of the electrical connectors on the engine, esp. the temp sensors. If these are corroded they may cause this sort of problem. Also, any idea as to the condition of the battery? My L7 had similar problems when I first got it and it was all due to the battery going south. It had enough oomph to turn it over well, but the voltage was low so sometimes it would start and run and other times it wouldn't. Sometimes it would just die driving around. Very frustrating! At least check the voltage out of the battery and check for dirty contacts. Happy motoring!

When you get home you'll have to tell me how you like your 745s. The "more power" bug has me and I think I will just have to get one.
