In Reply to: Mark, I've got both and would advise you not to posted by Bob745 on January 14, 2002 at 12:17:45:

Well... I will be checking it all out tomorrow at my old mechanics shop - Auto's of Europe - Boris is awsome, although he won't be there as he is on vacation, I just get a place to work on it... So thanks again for the suggestions... I'll let you know -

On the note of what is better an L7 or 745i?... I have owned many BMW's - the 745i my favorite (the reason for owning (5), no doubt - but I have to say the E23 has a special place in my heart and the L7 being such a beautiful trim package... I Love it too. The E28's are also great, but yes - the turbo is worth it if you are willing to deal with the quarks, the lack of dealer support (I mean, all out disowning from BMW NA)...Cost of 745i only parts, and the down time of not having a car running sometimes... Other than that - they are awesome cars to drive...

Just my $7.45 worth...hehehe...

Thanks to you all - I'll keep ya posted,

Edward

drive a 745 unless you are going to buy one. The L7 is a wonderful car, but after spending time in a 745 the power difference leaves you cussing the L7 everytime you pull out to pass someone.

It's not that the L7 is slow, it's just that the 745 is so much faster (even w/o the extra boost)and you get used to having the extra power. Just one mans opinion. I'm anxious to see what Edward has to say after driving both.
