Most states have a program where you can buy a car and receive a one trip permit to leave the state. You need to call the DMV in PA and ask how long they give you to get out of "town" Needless to say you will want to schedule your trip with their business hours in mind. They will charge a fee [ $5.00 in California ] Post a photo !!!!
I was planning on flying to Philly to pick up a cherry 745i later this week, and the guy doesn't want his plates on the car for the trip home, even if I have a binder for the insurance, and promise to ship em right back. Anybody know if there are temporary permits available for this purpose, specifically in PA?
I sure as hell don't want to drive 2300 mile each way to trailer the car, and haven't the time or patience to get impounded somewhere in the middle of nowhere on I-70 :-)
Thanx
