Tell me how you performed the compression test
please. Your numbers show that you maybe stopped
too early - like 2 or 3 "hits" of the needle.
Industry standard (and that's a loose term:) is
5-6 "hits", all plugs removed, throttle open,
engine warm, battery charger on, ignition/fuel
disabled. The second compression "hit" should
be 60-70% of the total - showing good piston
ring seal. Specs for your engine are: 142-156 psi
at the above conditions.

Randy, my high idle speed on my 733i problem was solved by replacing the coolant temperature switch. Thanks for your help . mike
