Awakened "Goldi" today after an 18 months hibernation period.
Put a freshly charged Battery in and on the first turn of the ignition key she awakening, quitly grumbling from the inside of her 3.2liter engine.
I am absolutely amazed and it took me almost an hour to remove all algie and moss from the paintwork and rubber.
The 20kg bag of Silica Gel I could not lift out.
It had absorbed so much moisture that it must way somerwhere between 70 and 100kg.
But I am glad to have used it because the cloth seats have no mould whatsoever.

Mind you the BMW has no self healing powers.
I still get a lot of glykol smelling steam comming through the airducts. Just as before. No "Heinzelmännchen" in Cirencester.
I am a bit miffed about the steam. I would have thought that turning the heating down to cold and shutting off the vents, would prevent anything to come through the system.
Maybe it's a good sign that it is not the Heater core(matrix) which is leaking.
Yet it could still be if the valve to shut the core is not working either.
Any ideas appear to get some steam come also out of the area in front of the wind screen.
I suppose I 'll open it up.

Best Regards

Ralf

PS. Bob, I put Kevin back were he belongs, would want him to drive past Utah to California with his new car.
Adel, I did not say to include the tool into every post, because I did not want to get shunt if I forget it.
Thanx to for letting me know that my code is visible in the reply. It does annoy me, not because I like to make a secret of it, but because it looks untidy and confusing when replying to my posts. It would bother me. Are U alright with it?
