I'm not sure what's the truth, but I also have a car with all the M badging. There is an M badge in the front of the grill that does look like it belongs there, it has the badging on the sides of the car in front of the doors, and and M badge next to the 735i in the rear. I have found a car that looks exactly like mine on this post. Mine is a jet black, ( orignal) with black interior.
The only thing not original on this car is the radio. I purchased it from a doctor who's brother bought it as a gray market car in the San Franciso area. What is strange to me is that there are more than a few of these. I think they are not fake.
