have one of your problems (archive)

i just bought an 87 735i 152k and i have some questions, when the car is in park it idles rough and vibrates but when i start to drive it doesnt do it that much,where should i start looking? the ac blows cold and the hvac works after i plugged in a vaccum hose but the blower sometimes comes on after i turn the wheel to off. simple fix?? also how do i replace the fan blade on the engine difficult? does the engine require any perticular fanblade? the coolant light came on when i got it home( 5 hour drive-no overheating), i checked coolant, the level seemed fine bad sensor or radiator cap? is there supposed to be a hold down clamp for the battery? will weed eater cord work to clean out the rear sunroof drains or can i fish it up from the exit point? the brake pedal goes down a little to the floor but stops just fine- was told brakes are good, does the brakes need to be bled? is replacing obc backlight easy? what kind of bulbs does it take? email with reply if youd like. thanks for any help. might have more questions.

I just bought an 81 733i. And it also idles rough when not applying any gas. When accelerating or driving it's smooth. It also smokes a little before it warms up to the normal temp. I just got a new fuel filter (haven't replaced it but goint to tonight) and some vacuum lines. Does your 735 smoke at all before it's warm. Let me know if you find the cause of rough idle and I'll let you know if I get mine fixed.
