How to wire? (archive)

Although I don't have a E23, I am thinking of fitting extra front lights to my E30, and thinking that some on the E30 board might not be sympathetic to me altering the look of the car, I hope you can help.

Can I just clip the + and - wires to one of the existing headlights, or where can I wire it up to?

Any help would be great
