Is your door handle broken or just jammed?? If only jammed - don't remove it- take the panel off and spray the hell out of it with lube. If you need the instructions from the manual for removal,e-mail me and I will send you a copy.


We are restoring a 84 733i. We are doing the prep to the body for painting, ie sanding and replacing rusted fenders.
We want to remove the plastic around the rear bumper to refinish, but we can't get it off. Off course all bolts have 20 years of rust.

We also are trying to replace the drivers door handles, hardware and handbrake, but we give up after several hours (days) of trying.

Any help is appreciated. We have been reading the board for several weeks and we have learned a lot.
