I use Synthetic oil. About a week before I change my oil I replace the existing oil with 10W30 to help "clean" up the engine. This will help keep the new Synthetic oil cleaner with the filter changes. Living in Anchorage, Alaska, I like to have good "healthy" oil.
Is this a good idea?
