Until I rammed the Carolla, I had no idea my car even had one of these! But I've noticed that the aux fan doesnt work which explains why my car over heats while idleing or slow speeds, now, what could possibly be wrong with it? It doesnt seem to be accident realted

Thanks,
~James

sensors, one to turn on the low speed and the other to turn on the high speed for the aux fax in front of the condesor/radiator.

It could be the sensors, connectors to the sensors, the low speed resistor located on the aux fan or the high speed and low speed relays.

Switch you AC on. This should cause the fan to come on as the AC position bypasses the temp sensors in the radiator.

But if you are overheating at idle in February without the aux fan turning on then I would suspect your mechanial fan clutch or the inside of your radiator. That is unless you live somewhere where the outside temperature is warm to hot this time of the year.

Let us know what you find.
