get a pen, push the tiny button at the bottom right. then press and hold mph, it should now be english. hope this helps..

On my '85, I first press AVG MPG, then the pen
hole. I know I just did it two hours (or is that
zwei uhr) ago after I disconected the battery for some electric repair.
