I haven't had a chance to check motors and switches yet, but my low speed does not work well either. Very slow and halting. I am suspecting motor damage (or bad contacts, I suppose).

If not successfull there
- High speed coil of motor burned trough.
If successfull turn attention to switch
- unplug and try to make contact on plug
- if you don't succeed
- wiring from connector to motor faulty.
Otherwise the switch itself.
Hope you can sort it out.
Best Regards
Ralf
