Hi Lars BendOr 82_733i,

thanks for your suggestion of wiggling the alternator wiring. However, it did not solve the No start/gong problem.
To my good fortune, I had the honor of meeting the "All-knowing" Jens.
I recounted the 733's past history along with your tip. He concluded that source of the problem was either the OBC brain box or display panel.
Another stroke of luck was that yesterday I met with a group of 745 owners, of whom, one had a parts car. It contained an OBC box. Although it had a different part # than mine; the swap worked and my car now starts - thanks Jens & Victor!

You should have witnessed Jens working his magic with these 745's - amazing!
