Sorry for pulling the disappearing act last month!
With classes back in session (I train 2-3 nights a
week) and being busy at work fixin' cars, time has
been short. I've tried to answer the usual tech questions
sent to my hotmail address, but have left the usual
conversations lapse. Thought I'd bring you up-to-date
on my own project:
The '86 735i just passed it's first 1000 miles under
my ownership. A few thousand dollars was needed to put
it on the road safely, like new brakes (rebuilt the fronts
calipers and replaced all the rest including rotors and
such), struts, rims and tires (I do have some TRX rims for sale cheap to any board member:), fuel tank, lines, lift
pump, belts, valve adjustment, HVAC repair (big surprise,
eh?), exhaust, O2 sensor, plus another paragraph of parts
and maintenance items. It's going to make a nice fourth
car for my wife and I. There is still a lot to do, but
a majority of the work is done and at least I can drive
it alittle.
Hope everyone else is doing fine. I saw Jens made a trip
west - pretty cool. Well, I'll keep this one short - for
once:)
Take Car,
Randy
