You'll need all the components as listed by the other posters.

Some additional work that's required:

1) retap head for larger exhaust manifold mounting bolts.

2) drill approx. 7/8" hole into block for turbo oil drain back hose.

3) advisable to retrofit a knock control system with sensors on engine. You can either use the one from the 745 if it has one or I've heard the SAAB knock control system can be adapted. (See link below).

4) Intercooling plumbing will have to be rerouted since I believe the 6-series may not allow stock placement of the intercooler and plumbing.

I recently found an '81 745i for sale in the local paper. There is some major front end damage, and he wants $800 for the whole thing. The engine runs, but the car is not driveable. I am interested in buying the turbo system from the car for possible use on a 635CSi (it was, after all, listed in the section for parting out). It is supposed to have 135k miles on it. I was wondering what I should pay for the turbo, and if anybody happens to know what components I will need.
