E34 is a right bolt on but for E39's you'll be needing a hub centric (larger hub's ø).

Ok for E23,24,28,31 but E32, ALMOST! And definately not E39....
E32 would still fit, but front clearance (ET) is not optimal for our E23's. E39's wheels got a hub diameter of 74 mm, for all the others that you mentioned, it's 72 mm or 72.5 mm (I'm not sure which one) that's why, for a perfect matching you'll need a hub centric.
