About 5 mins after I posted this a nieghbour of mine told me that a mate of his just bought an Alpina 3.5 M30 just rebuilt etc for less than that so I think I may wait and see if another Alpina motor comes along...

Oh and Big Al Im in Brisbane
If you happen to know of somewhere I can get a stinking fast GOOD motor for cheap let me know!!!

Where in Australia are you ? Can give you reliable and good information re "used" engines and availability, and "remanufactured" ones with 20k or 12 month warranty.There's a lot of M30 engines around.
