I've been seeing this material referenced lately in "BMW Magazine" and "Mercedes Enthusiast" magazines lately . There are pictures of it, and by the pictures, almost appears as a cross between leather and plastic if that makes sense. Looks great on a dash as in the March 2002 issue of "Mercedes Enthusiast" on p. 54.

Is this a material that may be added to a car - a car such as a 1983 E23 with a cracked dash?????
