Thanks for the responses Steve and Jens, I was too busy JB welding the oil pan on another car to get this one in the air today!

I believe the switch is bad or out of adjustment, I tried another relay on the trip home, that is why we jumped the socket to raise the car.

The reservoir level is still high, and no fluid leaks on the ground that I have noticed.

I have a parts car, and I think the pump is OK in, although that is the corner that got hit when it was totaled, plus I think I still have most all the hardware (pump etc) in another 745i that was converted to Dinan by a previous owner.

I will try to get under there and look for leaks tomorrow.
