That's a good idea!
I've got a similar configuration in my plane with a handheld radio mounted on my dash -- the antenna sticks up in front of me so when I look straight ahead I always see it in the middle of my field of vision. At first the impairment to vision was annoying, but the practicality of the location eventually overcame that annoyance.
Same with that cup holder -- right there where I could find my coffee cup (I'm always losing it these days..). And whenever I'd enter a curve, I'd just pull my cup out before turning the wheel -- what a great source of exercise on those long trips! I'd like to order one for my plane, too... before long I'd be flying IFR all the time..
Thanks for sharing! Rick
