Only input I have is with regards to the head gasket, the early heads (non-turbo) used a slot so to speak for the coolant passage by the combustion chamber and the later ones used holes. If you use the wrong gasket on the early head you will end up filling up the oil pan with water when you fill it. I found this out the hard way. But I don't know which head you have or what the BMP gasket looks like.
