Bypassing has been a idea I have been toying with on and off. The only way to do it right would require pinouts from the power/processing board to the display board. I would hardwire the LEDs and run the temp gauge directly(?) from the sensor. As well I would cut power to the chip, eliminate the batteries and power the circuit from the hot on run/accessory power bus.
Any thoughts?
Yan
