Turbochargers create their own backpressure so once the exhaust gets past the turbo you want to have as little backpressure as possible. Twin 2" w/o CAT and Resonator will do nicely. That's what I'm having done as soon as I graduate and get a nicely paying job. Twin 2.5" will be monstrous but will flow FAR more than a single 3". 2" is just a little larger than the stock pipes and will still flow more than a single 3". I think that a single 3" will actually restrict your flow.
My car has 1.75 OD. twin from the cat back. This is a somewhat hack job done when installing the CAT. I think that twin 2.5 is overkill. I have a 2" and a 2.5" Intercooler pipes and that is monstrous. Having two would definatly be overdoing it. this is 3.5L not 426 CU In. Going w/ 2" and deleteing the cat and resonator would give you a nice increase in performance. But you have to weigh the price issue. Two pipes bent vs. having one Large pipe bent.
The time it takes for you to boost up will be decreased significantly. You will be really surprised when you get it on the dyno. This is such a simple improvement but will add tons of HP to your high end as well as quicker spool for the turbo.
Post your Dyno traces... Don't forget!!!

Brian
